NEW YORK CITY,NY — CineKink is in its eighth national touring season and poised to bring another collection of films celebrating sexual diversity toPortland,OR.
Oregon Leather Pride is the perfect time for curator Lisa Vandever to share not merely the Best of Cinekink/2011, but also introduce the west coast to Kink Crusaders, the winner of the Audience Choice Award for Best Documentary Feature at CineKink/2011.
Known as “the kinky film festival,” Cinekink features short, sex-positive film selections that range from documentary to drama, mildly spicy to surprisingly explicit – and anything in between.
CineKink is dedicated to the recognition and encouragement of sex-positive and kink-friendly depictions in film and television, which means that the August 5 – 14 Oregon Leather Pride celebration will bring added attention to the features.
Among those to be seen during the Sunday, August 7 showing at the Clinton Street Theater are Love Hotel; Butterfly Caught; Turning Japanese; Love, Hugs and Kisses; Sissy Stephanie; Piss and Cactus, which are all part of the 7 pm Best of Cinekink showing.
Kink Crusaders, a loving profile of the International Mr. Leather Contest, will have the 9 pm slot entirely to itself. IML has been taking place annually for more than 30 years and has grown from being held in the back of aChicago bar to an event which attracts thousands of competitors from around the world.
Admission for the age 18 and over showings is $8 per screening or $12 for both.
Presented in conjunction with Oregon Leather Pride, the tour is sponsored by KinkyMedical, National Coalition for Sexual Freedom, njoy and Tied Up Events.
