NEW YORK—Hot all-girl star Justine Joli has spent the past few years making the move from screen to stage, performing in bawdy burlesque shows around New York City, but tomorrow night, she’ll be taking the stage for a very different kind of show.
Jolie will join Academy Award-nominated animator Bill Plympton for Sex, Dope and Cheap Thrills, a live talk show taking place on New York’s Lower East Side. Hosted by 42nd Street Pete and Eric Danville, author of The Complete Linda Lovelace, the show brings together stars from the fringes of pop culture for lively discussion about all things brilliant and bizarre before the hosts open the floor to questions from the audience.
Fans of the self-proclaimed geek will not only be able to pick her brain during the 45-minute Q & A portion of the evening, but after the show they’ll have an opportunity to get autographs, take photos, or buy one-of-a-kind breast prints.
“I can’t wait to have the fans ask me dirty questions,” Joli said. “One of the best parts of my job is meeting people who like what I do, but I think a live interview will be even better! I’m excited to see what crazy things people ask me.”
If fans are left speechless by the redhead’s stunning beauty and sharp wit, however, that’s okay. “I’ve come up with a few questions myself,” she jokes. “If all else fails, those will be fun to answer!”
Sex, Dope and Cheap Thrills takes place on Wednesday at Parkside Lounge, located at 317 East Houston Street. The show begins at 8 p.m. Admission is $10 the night of the show, but advance, reduced-price tickets are available at SexDopeCheapThrills.Blogspot.com.
