Jessica Drake Leads Team Wicked in 29th Annual AIDS Walk LA

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA—Wicked Pictures performer and director Jessica Drake will lead Team Wicked in the 29th Annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles on October 13 in West Hollywood, California. This is the fourth year Drake has participated as a “Star Walker” and the second year she has organized Team Wicked on behalf of Wicked Pictures for the fundraising event.

In its first year, Team Wicked raised over $18,000 for LA County AIDS organizations, qualifying it as a Gold Team in 2014. This year, the team hopes to raise over $20,000. To help JessicaDrake and Team Wicked meet their fundraising goal, visit the Team Wicked AIDS Walk LA page.

"Last year, AIDS Walk LA was on my birthday. I wanted to do something really special, so I put Team Wicked together as a birthday present to myself," Drake said. "I was so impressed with how everyone came together to raise so much money to help such a great cause—one that is so close to our hearts—I decided to make it an annual event. It's important we all pitch in to help with the global issue of HIV/AIDS, and I'm proud of our team for taking the time to join together in the fundraising efforts. I think we're really going to outdo ourselves this year, and I'm really grateful to everyone for their support!”

Currently, Team Wicked includes 14 walkers, including adult performers Kaylani Lei, Dana DeArmond, Kylie Ireland, Steven St. Croix, and Brandy Aniston, as well as industry staff, family, and friends.

Some of Team Wicked’s members are offering donation incentives for fans and industry colleagues who participate in helping Drake’s team raise funds; various donation levels will net a variety of different giveaways. In addition, higher-level donors of $500 or more will have the opportunity to participate in AIDS Walk LA as a member of Team Wicked

AIDS Walk Los Angeles has drawn more than a half-million participants, who have collectively raised more than $72 million in its 27 years. The event, which has served as a model of grassroots fundraising and community activism for organizations across the United States, is sponsored by AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA). It is dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by HIV disease, reducing the incidence of HIV infection, and advocating for fair and effective HIV-related public policy. APLA provides care and HIV prevention services throughout Los Angeles. APLA extends to all areas in Los Angeles and has nine food pantries, two dental clinics, a mobile dental van and much more. Prevention education programs are an important part of communities they serve. They also provide bilingual direct care to those in need. For more information, click here
