CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Justin Slayer International & Co. earned numerous accolades at the second annual Urban X Awards on Sunday night at Boulevard3 in Hollywood.
HJ, co-founder and co-owner of Justin Slayer International, accepted three awards on stage for JSI: Best Director Gonzo for Justin Slayer, Best Big Butt Series for Slayer's Big Booty White Girls and Best New Company for JSI.
CJ Wright grabbed two wins for Best Male Performer in a BBW Movie and Best BBW Release for his Bumpin Body Phat 2. And Prince Yahshua, director and JSI contract performer, took honors for Best All- Sex Series for The Black Assassin and Best Couples Sex Scene for his tryst with Kirra Lynne in Black Assassin 3.
Yahshua remarked, "I felt that the second annual Urban X Awards was 10 times better than the first. It was an honor and a privilege to be represented by both of my teams. First and foremost Silverback Entertainment Inc. as well as Justin Slayer International.
"We ended up taking home some well-deserved awards and to know that my work was appreciated not only by the fans but amongst my peers also, is all the love that I needed from that night. This second annual award show [Giana Taylor] has created has given us as ethnic people the power to show to all, the diversity and the appreciation we have amongst each other within the industry. And I feel proud to know that this award show made others within this business finally take notice of my true craft to heart, and for that I will always support Urban X."
He continued, "As happy as I am about the winnings I know that none of this would have been possible if it wasn't for the fans who voted or who came out, so to you I say from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU."
HJ acknowledged his staff for helping keep the new company and its product so strong with a special "thank you" to Justin Slayer himself. He also thanked the directors whose movies are distributed by Justin Slayer International, calling them "all extremely gifted, talented and very 'in touch' with their fan base.
JSI general manager Sandee Johnson added, "These wins are a good reflection of the impact and energy our JSI directors have had upon the consumer base as well as the industry as a whole. The Best New Company nod is very rewarding after such an intense year with many of them starting from scratch. I am so proud of every single one of them - to the nth degree!"
JSI received over 40 nominations, which included General Moe for Best Release Latin, HJ for Best Director, Josh Stone for Best Feature Release, Best Vignette Release, Best Release Asian and Best Girl/Girl Release; and Nat Turnher for Best Interracial Release.
CJ Wright added, "I think it was cool. The founder of the show has started a legacy in urban porn. Soon all races and venues will respect the show and be willing to lend a helping hand to make it big, bigger, and bigger."
