'Heartbreaker vs Obscura' Selected for CineKink NYC 2016

Heartbreaker, Obscura, Ice Queen and Spex will be heading east when Severe Sex’s Heartbreaker vs Obscura screens at CineKink NYC 2016.

“CineKink NYC is one of the top adult film festivals in the world,” said executive producer and Severe Sex co-owner Jimmy Broadway, “and being judged worthy by other members of the fetish film-making community is truly an honor.”

“Lily and Sten Cade did such an amazing job,” added co-executive producer Dee Severe, “we are so happy to be working with them.”

Heartbreaker vs Obscura features girl/girl star Lily Cade (who also directed) as brooding anti-hero Heartbreaker, whose superpower is that she can make any woman obey her. Heartbreaker has retired from fighting crime, but when Obscura (2015 AVN and XRCO Female Performer of the Year Anikka Albrite) captures the girlfriend (Kelsey Obsession) of Heartbreaker's old partner Ice Queen (Ela Darling) she has no choice but to take on one last job. Featuring original music by Kameltoe, art by Shawn Barnes, and Cade's first ever flogging, it's not just porn.

“As a filmmaker, I take inspiration from the erotic cinema of the 1970s," said Cade. "I seek to create movies that feature compelling stories as well as hot sex scenes. Shot to look like 16mm film, Heartbreaker vs Obscura is a larger-than-life erotic comic book meant to be seen on the big screen. Superheroes are a perfect fit for a kinky feature. A lot of people first notice an interest in bondage or BDSM from stories about heroes and villains tying each other up and putting each other in peril. The fact that these are fantasy people allowed me to explore darker themes in an appropriate context. This is my most ambitious project yet, and I'm so proud how it turned out. It's a dark comedy with a real heart—and five hot as fuck sex scenes each exploring a different kink dynamic."

“I'm thrilled to star in a film selected for such a great festival!” commented Darling. “Lesbian superhero porn is my favorite genre to shoot these days. It takes naturally strong, powerful female characters and grants them the power of sexual agency. It's beautiful.”

“Our submissions increased significantly this year,” said Lisa Vandever, co-founder and director of CineKink, “but our number of available screening slots actually decreased. This has made for an incredibly difficult selection process, as we’ve been gifted with an amazing array of quality submissions from which to choose.”

Heartbreaker vs Obscura will screen on Sunday, March 6, at 9:00 PM ET at Bowery Bliss (158 Bowery, New York, NY 10012) as part of the “Afterglow” program. For more information about CineKink, click here and to purchase tickets, click here.
