LOS ANGELES—Jason Toler’s tense thriller, Half Moon, makes its much-anticipated debut on Monday, Feb. 28, 2011 at the New Beverly Cinema in Hollywood, Calif. Joining Toler (aka, Tee Reel) and the cast/crew of the movie will be a host of celebrities from a variety of métiers.
“We are extremely excited about the Half Moon premier,” says Toler. “The New Beverly is a great venue to debut our movie. I am looking forward to spending an evening with friends and getting their reactions to what I believe is a truly great horror film.”
Half Moon is the new horror film from writer/director Jason Toler which showcases adult film superstar Tori Black in her mainstream acting debut as a down-on-her-luck prostitute, Rose. When she takes a job with a strange client, Rose soon lives to regret it. Though he has money to burn, Jacob also has a terrifying secret and, before the night is over, Rose comes face to face with true horror.
Marek Matousek and Torey D. Sutton also star alongside adult performers Nicki Hunter and Jack Lawrence. Distributed by Breaking Glass Pictures, Half Moon has shown strong initial sales numbers and positive early buzz. The unique cross-over appeal of the adult and mainstream cast has critics bustling. From the adult world to horror sites around the globe, Half Moon has people talking.
"We are proud to distribute Half Moon. Sales have been amazing so far and we look forward to Jason Toler's next project," says Breaking Glass Pictures’ CEO Richard Wolff. He also had high praise for the lead actress. “Tori Black gives an amazing performance. She is a truly great actress.”
In the last week, Toler has appeared on Playboy Radio’s Night Calls with Christy Canyon and Half Moon’s own Nicki Hunter, as well as mainstream websites/podcasts for MovieScum.com and Geekscape.net.
