VALENCIA, Calif.—For its July charity selection, Girlfriends Films turns to its PR and marketing representative, Christopher Ruth, who picks the Center for Constitutional Rights. As a result of the selection, Center for Constitutional Rights will receive a $1,000 check from Girlfriends Films.
Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) is on the front lines for social justice. The legal and educational organization is dedicated to advancing and protecting the rights guaranteed by the United States Constitution. “The Constitution and First Amendment are what protect Girlfriends Films and allow it to continue to produce high quality erotic content for consenting adults,” stated Ruth. “My selection of Center for Constitution Rights is a result of our need to give back to the great system ensuring our freedoms.”
CCR employs litigation, education, and advocacy to advance the law in a positive direction, to empower poor communities and communities of color, to guarantee the rights of those with the fewest protections and least access to legal resources, to train the next generation of constitutional and human rights attorneys, and to strengthen the broader movement for social justice. Its work began on behalf of civil rights activists in the 1960s, and since then CCR has lent its expertise and support to virtually every popular progressive movement.

“Thank you to Moose, Dan, and everyone at Girlfriends Films for the opportunity to select the charity of the month,” added Ruth. “The Girlfriends Films Charity Program is one of the many ways Girlfriends Films is making the adult industry, and the world, a better place.”
Christopher Ruth is the vice president of Fine Ass Marketing, the full-service marketing and branding agency employed by Girlfriends Films since 2010.
Girlfriends Films is one of the premier lesbian adult studios in the world, and for over a decade, it has worked to make a difference through a sex-positive message of pleasure, love, and acceptance, as well as through philanthropy and outreach. Girlfriends Films’ motto, “For Fine Folks with Good Hearts & Curious Minds,” has appeared on the cover of every movie the company has ever made.
Each month, Girlfriends Films donates to a charity selected by its employees, performers, directors, and adult industry principals. In 2014, the Girlfriends Films Charity Program donated over $20,000 to a wide array of philanthropic organizations, from medical institutes to animal sanctuaries. Charities supported over the past 12 months include National Center for Transgender Equality, Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, Movember Foundation, Stand Up to Cancer, National Alliance to End Homelessness, and more.
