CHATSWORTH, Calif.—On behalf of adult star Tanya Tate, Girlfriends Films is donating $1,000 to the National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC). Tanya Tate's selection is part of Girlfriend's Films monthly charity program—one of the many reasons XCritic.com named the socially conscious company the Adult Studio of the Year. February's donation goes to further NBCC's mission: the elimination of breast cancer by January 1, 2020.

According to NBCC's website: On September 20, 2010, NBCC launched Breast Cancer Deadline 2020, a call to action for policymakers, researchers, breast cancer advocates and other stakeholders to end the disease by January 1, 2020. The Accelerating the End of Breast Cancer Act, which will soon be introduced, will provide a strategic approach to address questions NBCC has identified as vital to end the disease; identify barriers which hamper progress; and set forth a mission-oriented, transparent and focused process to help overcome these barriers and meet the goal of Breast Cancer Deadline 2020.
"As not only a woman, but a woman in her thirties, breast cancer is a serious concern for me," Tanya stated. "I know there is a possibility one day I may be afflicted by it, as it has savagely affected people I know. I support NBCC's mission to end breast cancer."
"Coming from the UK, we are lucky enough to have access to free health care and screening for breast and cervical cancer," she continued. "NBCC works towards funding cancer research, care for uninsured women, and support for people diagnosed with the disease. Cancer has affected someone known to each and every one of us, which is why my chosen charity is National Breast Cancer Coalition."
Tanya Tate can be seen in numerous Girlfriends Films titles, including Poor Little Shyla 1, Road Queen 18, and Net Skirts 7.0. Tanya is also featured on the cover of Girlfriends Films 2012 collectable wall calendar, available at this link.
