Girlfriends Films Reigns Over XRCO’s Best Girl/Girl Series Category with 2 Nominations

RESEDA, Calif.—Girlfriends Films’ two nominations for the 2011 X-Rated Critics Organization (XRCO) awards is a testament to the studio’s continual strength in producing quality lesbian erotica. Nominated for Best Girl/Girl Series are Pin-Up Girls and Women Seeking Women.

Women Seeking Women was honored with the award last year. A unique series featuring vintage 1950s lingerie, the popular Pin-Up Girls is sure to also appeal to voters.

XRCO Chairman Bob Krotts says, “It doesn't matter if you are male or female—if you enjoy solid, reliable lesbian sex, which is not rushed, hot as hell, and often lecherously seductive, you will without a doubt appreciate and covet every volume in every series Girlfriends Films produces. These are not thrown-together sex clips; everything has a reason. I am especially impressed with the settings, costuming and theme of their Pin-Up Girls series, and of course, the quality of talent is a given. Sometimes I hate being impressed, but Girlfriends Films impresses the hell out of me!”

“We are extremely excited to be heading into the 2011 XRCO awards as the previous recipient of the Best Girl/Girl Series,” says Girlfriends Films Vice President Moose. “Thank you to XRCO for both of our nominations.  The honor is magnified when you consider the amazing people composing the XRCO member list. It’s a who’s who of the adult industry’s most influential reviewers.”

In addition to earning XRCO’s award for Best Girl/Girl Series in 2010, Girlfriends Films’ series Women Seeking Women received the Best All-Girl Series award from AVN the past four years. The series’ critical and retail success derives from realistic lesbian sex portrayed through erotic vignettes. Showcasing the most beautiful lesbian performers, each scene provides captivating scenarios and captures the true chemistry between the ladies.

The Pin-Up Girls series adheres to a rigorous commitment to historical accuracy unique to the adult entertainment industry. Through vintage lingerie and realistic sets and props, viewers are transported back to an era of innocence on the cusp of social rebellion. RayVeness’ taboo business venture begins with pin-up photos, but quickly lends itself to producing steamy, lesbian stag films sold in the back of popular “girly magazines.” As the models become increasingly comfortable with each other, they enter into lascivious romances and inadvertently buck the patriarchal ideas characterizing the 1950s. Social repercussions far from their minds, the girls are more interested in being paid and finally experiencing the type of intense orgasm only another girl can provide.
