RESEDA, CA — Girlfriends Films will once again participate in the annual Vice Is Nice benefit party. On July 28, performers and principals with Girlfriends Films will attend the popular poker tournament and Monte Carlo night, where all money raised, including the three tables purchased by Girlfriends Films, will support the Petopia Animal Rescue Center.
The Vice Is Nice party is July 28 in Chatsworth, CA. Tickets for the event are $25 through pre-registration and $35 at the door.
Vice Is Nice is hosted by Penthouse VP of production, Kelly Holland. The event is a casino night and poker tournament raising money for animal rescues and promoting awareness.
Kelly Holland says, “We’re thrilled to have Girlfriends Films back on board as a sponsor of Vice is Nice. They were one of our earliest sponsors two years ago and their support is crucial to ongoing efforts in animal rescue in the community. With cutbacks in city and state budgets, local shelters have been forced to implement increasingly harsh policies; holding animals for as little as four days before euthanizing. This has forced all of our local rescues to work even harder in their rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing efforts.”
“This year at Vice is Nice, we are raising money for a revolutionary rescue concept, Petopia,” continues Holland. “Petopia is a new store front opening in the Westfield Mall in August. Headed up by Valley Cats, it will serve as an umbrella space for multiple rescues, provide community outreach and education, and animal training. It will also serve as the launch space for a new IPTV Channel called The Petopia Channel.”
Holland adds, “I’m excited about all of the opportunities connected to this initiative. Vice Is Nice, in partnership with Girlfriends Films, help to make it possible. Girlfriends Films and their commitment to local philanthropy serve as a wonderful model for both heartfelt charity and a very real and high profile commitment to our larger local community.”
“We are always excited to be a part of any event displaying the philanthropic side of the adult industry,” states Girlfriends Films vice president, Moose. “Our charity program often makes donations to organizations benefiting animals, so we whole-heartedly support the mission of Kelly Holland and Vice Is Nice.”
Each month, Girlfriends Films selects an adult performer from received entries and makes a $1000 donation in her name to the specified charity. Recent donations to animal charities include Trinity St. Clair’s selection of Life 4 Paws and Jelena Jensen’s selection of Best Friends Animal Society. Even AVN Media founder Paul Fishbein joined the giving with his selection of Best Friend Animal Society.
Any Girlfriends Films performers interested in participating may apply by emailing the following information: name, AIP charity of choice, reason(s) for selecting the charity. Chosen performers will be asked to submit a personal photo depicting the performer engaged with the charity, the charity’s mission, or a similar charitable act. The photo will be used for promotional purposes.
