SAN FRANCISCO—Adult e-tailer GameLink.com reported fan searches for terms related to Batman v Superman XXX: An Axel Braun Parody have grown exponentially in the past two weeks, according to data collected from the site.
Some of the top search terms used on GameLink.com over the past two weeks include “Batman v Superman,” “Superhero Porn,” “Superhero Fetish,” “Superman,” “Batman,” “Wonder Woman Sex” and “Catwoman Porn.”
GameLink reps speculate the increased interest could be attributed to the March 25 release date of the mainstream movie. Sales of the porn parody on GameLink's site have also increased more than 300 percent for the two-week period of March 8 to March 21.
Additionally, the YouTube.com trailer for Batman v Superman XXX: An Axel Braun Parody has seen an increase of more than 15 percent in the last two weeks, accounting for roughly 250,000 of the more than 1.6 million total views. To view the trailer, click here.
“When the movie was released last year, it was one of the best selling parody movies of the year,” said GameLink representative Jeff Dillon, who is the vice president of business development for GameLink’s parent company, eLine.com. “The recent spike in sales only confirms the high demand for brand specific merchandise for the Batman and Superman franchises, which shows the strong bond fans have with the two superheroes.”
Fans purchasing the porn parody of Batman v Superman hail from all over North America. The Top 10 cities in order are: Los Angeles; New York; San Francisco; Tampa; Chicago; Columbus, Ohio; Toronto, Ontario; Austin, Texas; Portland, Ore.; and Dallas. The No. 1 city streaming the movie is Salt Lake City, Utah.
