EDISON, N.J.—With the decision to move forward with Exxxotica New Jersey this weekend at the New Jersey Expo Center in Edison, N.J. in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, a number of features of the event have been added and changed to better benefit and serve the residents of the affected areas.
An "Exxxotica Gives Back" food and supply drive is being held asking attendees to bring at least one non-perishable food item or supply to the event. There will be a special drop-off location on the show floor where a number of stars will be volunteering to help collect the donations.
There also will be a number of “perks” for anyone who donates including product from our exhibitors, sponsors, stars and the show. Cash donations also will be accepted.
Exxxotica is asking the stars appearing to donate a small portion of their time to appearing and greeting fans within the designated area. Exhibiting companies and sponsors are being asked to contribute either financially or by donating a specific product or service that can be auctioned off. Anyone interested in donating or volunteering can email [email protected].
With many people's transportation ability effected by Sandy, Exxxotica is running a party bus service from two pickup locations in New York City. This transportation option becomes even more important with the unavailability of fuel in the area. Round trip fees are $30. Buses are filling up on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Exxxotica also is offering pre-sale ticketing exceptions. Now all single day tickets are no longer day-specific. Fans can now choose whichever day they would like to attend the show. Single day tickets are still only good for one day.
“What we saw last week was devastating on so many levels, but if there has been one underlying theme it’s that New York and New Jersey residents are resilient,” Exxxotica director J. Handy said. “Exxxotica NJ 2012 has quickly taken on a totally new direction post-Sandy and that’s to help as many residents in need as possible.”
Handy continued, “When we made the decision to move forward with the event, we realized that not only could we bring a lot of much-needed relief and supplies to the New York/New Jersey area, but also some fun into a very somber situation. We’ve already been blown away by the support from our exhibitors, sponsors and most importantly, our fans.”

Advance tickets for all days are on sale at the show’s website, and tickets may also be purchased at the NJ Expo Center box office.
