CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Exile Distribution has announced that pre-orders have been coming in briskly on Forbidden Fruits Films' summer blockbuster, Call Me Mother. The Harry Sparks-directed feature is Forbidden Fruits’ biggest project to date.
"Harry Sparks did an amazing job on Call Me Mother," said Jay West, co-owner of Forbidden Fruits Films with wife Jodi West, who stars in the production. "Jodi and I have always been impressed with Harry's attention to detail, writing, and directing abilities and when Howard Levine brought him to us and we began to weave everything together, we knew that Call Me Mother was going to be a huge hit for us. We know our fans are going to love this film and our distributors and retailers are going to do extremely well with it."
The studio describes the movie as an erotic thriller that follows the story of 18-year-old high school senior Jennifer (Callie Calypso), who lives at home with her father (Tony De Sergio) and enjoys hanging out with her best friend Tracy (Payton Simmons) and loves her boyfriend Danny (T. Stone). But Jennifer's life abruptly changes when she begins an affair with Grace (Jodi West), her sexy new stepmother. Tensions ramp up when Jennifer tries to end the relationship, but Grace refuses to let go.
"We are thrilled to be seeing such high pre-orders on Call Me Mother," stated Exile Distribution president Howard Levine. "In a time when DVDs are so hard to move, Forbidden Fruits is not only the leader in re-ordered product but also pre-orders. Call Me Mother is the biggest title ever put out by Forbidden Fruits."
Call Me Mother ships August 20 and streets August 27. The movie will exclusively be available on DVD for the first month and is scheduled to hit VOD sites in early October.
