RESEDA, Calif.—On Jan. 8, skillful editor Sonny Malone will be inducted into AVN’s 2011 Hall of Fame class. Sonny Malone is one of the most prolific and awarded adult movie editors of the past decade.
In back to back years, Sonny earned AVN’s Best Editing awards for The Masseuse (2005) and The New Devil in Miss Jones (2006). Over the course of her career, Malone lent her talents to many of the top studios in the adult industry, refining their movies with her unique touch.
Sonny Malone says, “I am so proud to be inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame because I know the honor comes from my peers within the industry. I edit every movie with the same standard of perfection and quality regardless whether it is a big-budget feature or a string of vignettes. I believe that is the reason I’ve found success. Thank you to AVN for recognizing all of my work in this amazing industry we belong to.”
The AVN Awards and Malone’s induction will be held Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011 at the Pearl Theater at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
Included in Malone’s client list of high profile studios is Girlfriends Films, where she works on a freelance basis, as well as doing quality control for Girlfriends Films’ releases.

Malone is setting new goals for her career with 2011 right around the corner. One of her goals is to move into directing. Time spent filming her own adult series fueled her desire to tell her own tales from conception all the way through to production and post. “I will always edit. It’s truly a passion for me,” she said. “I love exploring and expanding my knowledge and creativity. Directing is a new path and a new challenge.”
