TAMPA, Fla.—Director Erica McLean, who co-created with her late husband Hustler's long-running Barely Legal series, will be producing a documentary based on the NightMoves Adult Entertainment Awards. The awards weekend takes place in Tampa this week, October 4-7.
The NightMoves show will be celebrating its 20-year anniversary and is the third oldest adult awards show in the United States. It is also the first to have fans decide the winners and the first to exclusively use the internet for voting.
“NightMoves is extremely happy about Erica producing this documentary that will look behind the scenes of what it takes to organize the wild weekend that we have done for the past 20 years,” said NightMoves owner Paul Allen.
This year should prove to be another draw for adult performers, with Lisa Ann, Lexi Belle, Stormy Daniels, JoAnna Angel, Nikki Benz, Vicky Vette, Misty Stone, Prinzzess Felicity Jade, James Bartholet and others traveling to Tampa Bay for the event.
The festivities begin on Thursday at Thee Dollhouse on Westshore Boulevard in Tampa. On Friday night, there will be action at Bare Assets in Holiday, Fla., and Saturday night there will be performances at Deja vu Showgirls in Tampa. All of these club shows start around 10 p.m., and many performers will be making stage appearances, signing autographs and mingling with the fans.
The Fanfest takes place Saturday afternoon (Oct. 6). All entertainers will be available for autographs and pictures along with vendors, music, cash bar and a $1,000 Bikini Contest (sponsored by 2001 Odyssey and Clips4Sale.com). The Ramada Inn Westshore will be the host location.
The awards ceremony takes place Sunday, Oct. 7 at the Dallas Bull in Tampa. Fan voting started on July 15 and ended Sept. 15, and this is where the winners will be announced. Awards for Best Female Performer, Best Male Performer, Best Adult Studio, Best Feature Production and more will be presented.
Hosts for the evening include Ron Jeremy and Girlfriends Films contract star Prinzzess Felicity Jade. Acts for the evening include Le Tease Burlesque and East Coast HardBodies Male Review. Returning to emcee is Tony Batman. Red carpet begins at 6:30 p.m. There will be an official after party at Thee Dollhouse immediately following the awards show. All NightMoves Awards winners (local and national) get free admission if they bring their trophy to the club.
