Delve 'Deep Inside Dana Vespoli' With Intense New Interview

VENICE, CA—It’s no wonder that everyone wants to be around Dana Vespoli; just look at the company she keeps. She’s currently shooting Lesbian Adventures Older Women/Younger Girls 4, with India Summer, Tanya Tate and Julia Ann all seeing action this week. They’ll join Casey Calvert, Raven Rockette, Ela Darling and Riley Reid, who also star in the movie.

It’s also impossible to ignore that the talented performer/director is also smart and beautiful and articulate, which makes her the ultimate all-around impact player. Sovereign Syre sat Dana down for an extensive interview that’s just gone online at XCritic.com.

Sovereign and Dana have worked together many times and have a unique relationship that has become one of the most inspiring in the adult industry. Dana opens bares her soul in this interview and as a result it gives genuine insight into why she is having such an impact.

“It’s hard for me to sit down and actually think about what it is I’m doing,” Dana said. “So much reality-based stuff is actually so unrealistic and stupid, but it’s what people think we want to see. I think that’s the problem with a lot of companies, and with even a lot of directors. They become so preoccupied with what they think people want to see, and what they stop paying attention to is what they want to see, what they get turned on by. I think that’s the problem, is that people get outside themselves.”

Dana has also penned a fantastic blog title “This Is Forty-One” that features photos by JM Darling that have Dana without makeup and without retouching. The words and photos are honest and reveal her strength and self-confidence, something she brings to every project. Read and see the blog here.

Dana has also finished shooting Dana Vespoli's POV Boy-Toy Strap Adventures and it’s off to post-production. She will be in Berlin for the Venus show October 15.

Dana is featured in the AVN cover story in the September issue, “30 Game Changers,” which calls her “one of the most exciting directors in the industry.” The issue also has an Editor’s Choice review of her movie She’s Come Undone.
