VENICE, CA — There was a time when Dale Dabone was riding high on the porn success wave. In a recent interview with Adult FYI’s Gene Ross, Dabone admits that the wave crested and crashed, leaving him a more humble man.
Now he’s back and working hard to change his image, including a return to his performer roots in gonzo.
“I’m getting the word out there,” Dale says. “Maybe back in the day it was total arrogance, but I’m humble. I lost everything. I was borrowing money to eat at McDonald's. It was bad, Jack.”
This week Dabone turned in hardcore gonzo scenes for Naughty America and Hustler, shooting with infamous gonzo king Otto Bauer. “It feels good to be starting over,” Dale continues. “I'm grateful for all my friends and fans who've supported me through this dark time and optimistic about what the future holds.”
