LOS ANGELES, CA — Sometimes it feels good to get up off of the couch, let the pony girls out of their stalls and the puppy boys out of their cages so the whole family can take in some quality kinky film entertainment. Cue CineKink, “the kinky film festival,” which is pulling into Los Angeles in October for a hot two-night stand on October 14 – 15, 2011.
With screenings at the Echo Park Film Center and Studio Servitù, CineKink: Los Angeles will offer a specially curated program of films and videos that celebrate and explore a wide and exciting world of sexual diversity, with works ranging from documentary to drama, comedy to experimental, mildly spicy to quite explicit - and everything in between.
FRIDAY
The festivities commence on Friday, October 14th at, at the Echo Park Film Center (1200 N. Alvarado St., Los Angeles).
Kicking things off at 7:20 pm, Pride & Predilections is a fun and festive assortment of shorts about sexual orientation, identity and one’s place in the world.
At 9:00 pm, it’s Kinky Crusaders, the festival’s Audience Choice for Best Documentary, an engaging look at the International Mr. Leather contest, an annual event that draws thousands of men from around the world to compete for a title and a sash.
SATURDAY
On Saturday, October 15, the action moves to Studio Servitù (Downtown Los Angeles, RSVP/buy ticket for address) for more screenings and a festive celebration.
Beginning at 4:00 pm, the shorts program Adventures in the Skin Trade looks at various nuances when sex, work and money intersect.
At 6:00 pm, Indietro, winner of the CineKink Audience Choice Award for Best Narrative Feature, unravels the late-night visit of Honey and Nick — two suburban “vanillas” — to the mysterious and sprawling home of George and Martha, the king and queen of kink.
At 8:00 pm, Best of CineKink features select, award-winning shorts deemed the year’s best during the festival's latest annual run at CineKink NYC.
At 9:30 pm, it’s the CineKink Afterglow Party, a festive celebration that features mixing and mingling, sexy performances, music and a kinky raffle.
TICKETS AND PASSES
Ticket prices for each regular screening are $10 door/$7 advance and admission to the Afterglow Party is $15 door/$10 advance.
A great value for a weekend of non-stop kinky entertainment, a CineKink: Los Angeles All-Access Pass includes admission to all screenings and the afterglow party for $30 ($25 for seniors and students, $20 for CineKinksters/FWB). Discounted day passes are also available.
