VENICE, Calif.—Marketing meets mystery in the "outing" of new performer Carter Cruise. According to a press release submitted today by her new PR firm, Rising Star PR, "A sometimes-unseemly website exposed her for being a former sorority sister at her alma mater, East Carolina."
The release continues, "Writing for Total Frat Move, a little-known journalist named Bacon responded to a very enthusiastic submission from a reader discussing her collegiate past. Bacon then wonders who the source of this information might be, suggesting the writer seemed too enthusiastic and possibly the information was 'simply a promoter trying to get us to show off their client.'"
Rising Star denies vociferously the implication that it was the snitch, insisting, "Her publicists hadn’t even been informed of her college days," and adding, "In fact, the enthusiasm was genuine. It was another organic response from her growing legion of fans." Though how they can know that for sure is unclear.
But what does it matter, as long as Cruise is treated with respect, which she says she has been. “I was very pleasantly surprised by the way people reacted,” said the performer newbie. “My personal experience was very positive overall. My sorority as an organization can’t condone my career choice, but the majority of my sisters really blew me away by the support and love they showed me. Regardless of whether they personally agree with my choice or not, they had the class and sisterhood to respect my life choices and to wish me the best. I was actually kind of surprised by how not a big deal it was.”
In other Cruise news, she just had a box cover on Amateur Allure’s Amateur POV Auditions #8. She also just shot two big features; Untamed Heart, a romance from Adam & Eve directed by Barrett Blade, and Caught, a comedy for Wicked Pictures directed by Jonathan Morgan.
“Caught was fun because it was one of the dirtiest and sexiest girl/girls I’ve done and it was with Asa Akira,” Carter said. “It was incredible.”
Carter also has scenes coming soon from New Sensations.
