Breaking Glass Pictures to Release SXSW Hit 'Unhung Hero'

TORONTO, ONT—Breaking Glass Pictures CEO Rich Wolff has inked a deal with producers Thomas Brettschneider and Lynn Shmitz of greenskyFILMS for the North American release of Unhung Hero. Film Sales Company's President Andrew Herwitz and Sales Director Jason Ishikawa brokered the deal on behalf of the filmmakers. Director Brian Spitz follows the story of Patrick Moote from the beginning of his infamy as he travels the globe seeking answers in the world's first cockumentary!

When Patrick Moote's girlfriend rejected his marriage proposal at a UCLA basketball game on the Jumbotron, it unfortunately went viral and hit TV networks worldwide. Days after the heartbreaking debacle, she privately revealed why she couldn't be with him forever: Patrick's small penis size.

Unhung Hero follows the real-life journey of Patrick as he boldly sets out to expose this extremely personal chapter of his life confronting ex-girlfriends, doctors, anthropologists and even adult film stars. Patrick has a lot of turf to cover on his globe trotting adventure to finally answer the age old question: Does size matter?

Along the way, Patrick meets and gets advice from adult industry icon Annie Sprinkle, and receives comments from top performer Dale DaBone, and perhaps others, as shown in this trailer for the movie.

The premiere of Unhung Hero drew unprecedented crowds at the 2013 South By Southwest Film Festival and has gone on to audience acclaim at the Traverse City Film Festival, Seattle International Film Festival and Sydney's Underground Film Festival. Unhung Hero will enjoy a limited theatrical run in the fall, followed by a nationwide release on home video and VOD.

Breaking Glass Co-President Richard Ross raved, "Unhung Hero is an amazing film that was the talk of SXSW. Director Brian Spitz did an incredible job capturing the agony and humor of the unflappable hero Patrick Moote. There's an Unhung Hero in everyone's family!"
