LOS ANGELES—Popular award-winning adult film actor James Bartholet has a new movie release out now, Beauty and The Beast XXX for Harry Sparks and Exquisite Entertainment, and as far as he's concerned, one of the most unique things about this movie is that the majority of the project was shot on a green screen.
The film's stars include Dani Daniels, Xander Corvus, Riley Reid, Lea Lexis, James Bartholet, Evan Stone, Callie Calypso, August Ames, and Allison Moore.
“This was an interesting project to work, and a project that everyone enjoyed, but a project that took concentration to pull off effectively," Bartholet explained. "Acting on a green screen is not as easy as it looks. You have to really use your imagination, and put your acting skills to work. First, you have to imagine the surroundings that you’re in, and act according to that. Is it outdoors or indoors? Are you working your way along a cliff, or running down a path? Is it really hot or cold? Second, there’s times when you have to play to a character that may not be there, so you have to imagine that character and react accordingly to that. Third, you have to make sure each time that your performance is the same for each take and each angle, so it flows properly when they’re editing. A unique part of the movie was, Dani was playing not only Belle but her two other sisters as well. Dani did a great job at that. But in that scene we had to remember that those characters would be edited in, and when we were filming, had to react to that as well. Green screen acting has many obstacles to hurdle, but if you do it well, the finished product looks great.”
“Making Beauty and The Beast XXX was a unique experience because we shot most of it on a green screen. This allowed us the complete freedom to create a fairy tale world. It wasn’t easy, especially in post. But I have to say that all of the performers did an amazing job by rising to the challenge. I enjoyed working with James Bartholet, and appreciate his commitment to the project. We’re very happy with the final result,” said director Harry Sparks.
Bartholet appeared in another feature that came out earlier this year This Ain’t American Horror Story XXX for Hustler, where he portrayed the scary character of Twisty The Clown.
Bartholet can be heard weekly on Inside The Industry on latalkradio.com and hosts AVN Live seen on avn.com. Bartholet has also released a new figurine doll which is available now from Cokreeate Studios and Dillinger Studios 818.
