VENICE, CA — During 2013 award winning performer turned director Barrett Blade shot a series of high profile movies including Harvest Moon and Bikini Bandits for Wicked Pictures, Pony Tales for Reign Productions and Girlfriends Films, and Just In Beaver Fever for Devil’s Film. His attention to detail and hard work have won him a slew of positive reviews, earning the respect of some of the industy's toughest critics. By awards season, the up and coming director had been rewarded with five nominations for the AVN Awards, including the highly coveted Director of the Year award. As of this week, he can add one more honor to that impressive list of credits; Hall of Fame.
“I'm really honored, both by the nominations and the admission to the Hall of Fame,” Blade said. “It's pretty amazing and it hasn't really sunk in. I love this business and have worked hard to leave my mark on it. It's an amazing feeling to have that validated in such a massive way. I'm truly touched.”
Blade was also recently featured in the Daily Beast online, under retired porn performer Aurora Snow's column, where he talked about his wildest moment in adult of last year, as well as his hopes for the industry this year. Founded by Tina Brown, former editor of Vanity Fair and The New Yorker, the site boasts upwards of 15 million unique visitors per month — ensuring that Blade's observations will reach a wide audience.
