VENICE, Calif.—Barrett Blade is having an amazing year so far. With hit releases from Wicked Pictures Harvest Moon & Bikini Outlaws raking in praise from editor's and fans alike, not to mention his parody work for Devil's Films, his name has become a regular feature on the top of industry sales charts. He's quickly become the go-to guy for hit adult movies that sell, making him one of the most highly sought after directors in the business virtually overnight. And just when it seemed things couldn't get any better the actor-turned-director raked in 5 nominations for the upcoming 2014 AVN Awards, including the highly coveted Director of the Year!
He's also scored two Best Director nominations: Best Director – Feature for Bikini Outlaws, and Best Director – Parody for Just in Beaver Fever from Devil’s Film. Just in Beaver Fever also earned him a nomination for Best Screenplay and Bikini Outlaws one for best Non-Sex Acting.
The wide range of nominations underscores the tremendous talent of the multifaceted star, which has been on display through a string of blockbusters released throughout the year.

This isn't the first time Blade's been honored with nominations and awards. A veteran of the adult industry since 2001, Blade won AVN Awards for Best Supporting Actor in 2008 and Best Threeway Sex Scene in 2005. Blade's directorial efforts have been recognized with AVN Award nominations for Best Sex Comedy in 2010 (The Vow) and Best Director – Non-Feature in 2013 (Jessie Rogers: Unbreakable).
