LOS ANGELES—Adult film starlet Angel Vain is attending a fundraiser at the Slidebar Café in Fullerton, Calif., benefiting Aids Walk Los Angeles—the second year now that the curvy blonde has participanted in a benefit for this very worthy cause.
The event will take place Thursday, Oct. 13 at Slidebar Café (122 E. Commonwealth Ave., Fullerton, CA; 714-871-2233), and will feature several adult stars as well as live music and DJs. Last year the benefit raised several thousand dollars for Evil Angel’s Aids Walk team.
This year with many great sponsors such as Wet Lubricants, Pipedream Toys, Liberator Bedroom Adventure Gear and many others, organizers hope to exceed last year’s donations. Vain will also have giveaways from her new mainstream company, Vanity Skateboards.
The event will run from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m., and admission is free.
“This is my second year doing this fundraiser and third year walking with Evil Angel. I am a big supporter of the AIDS Walk and I am proud to be able to host this event thanks to Slidebar. Both Evil Angel and Slidebar café have been great to me and it’s a fun opportunity to be able to pull them both together to create an event that serves our community,” Angel said.
“I look forward to being a part of the team for many years to come and hope to make this event more and more successful with every year that passes,” she added.
The 27th annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles takes place Oct. 16. The walk is 6.2 miles in and around the Hollywood/West Hollywood area. Many adult industry stars will be walking as a group, including Kelly Divine, Sophie Dee, Eva Karera, Angel Vain, Nima Rad, Krish Dee and Lee Bang. Industry veterans such as Jenny Tse and Tisha Cavazos are once again supporting the cause.
“Even though the team is organized by Evil Angel, we welcome everyone from the adult industry, friends, or fans who would like to walk on our team,” said Evil Angel. “We would love for as many as people from the adult industry to show a unified front in support of the AIDS Walk LA 2011. With so much overblown negative media toward the adult industry this past year, AIDS Walk LA is an event that I'm even more dedicated to supporting.”
For people registered to walk with the adult industry team, there will be an official group photo taken by AIDS Project LA at the team meeting station at 8:30 a.m. the morning of the walk. The walk starts at 10 a.m., but it's recommended to show up around 8 a.m. to find parking, as more than 30,000 people are expected to be at the event.
