“This was a series that Belladonna had envisioned years ago and we only ended up making one volume, for unknown reasons,” Riley explained. “I know how much she enjoyed working on this title with queer and transgender folk, so I thought I would re-light the fire. I enjoyed working on this title very much and plan to have many more volumes in the future.”
Though Belladonna no longer co-directs, she still inspires Riley’s work—he says he consults a “little black book” of her fantasies and ideas for future projects. “I kind of go off of that when I’m making movies now,” he said.
