Adam & Eve Sheds Light on Lovemaking Habits

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C.—A recent survey by Adam & Eve finds most adults prefer a mixture of lights on and off during sex. Adam & Eve Facebook followers answered the survey similarly with 40 percent saying they prefer a variety of lighting, 40 percent saying they keep the lights off and 20 percent saying the prefer lights on.

Dr. Kat Van Kirk, Adam & Eve’s resident sex expert, encourages adults to experiment with their lovemaking habits, including their lighting choices. “Being able to see your partner, and the passion you share, is an important part of lovemaking,” she said. “For couples who feel they are under a spotlight with the lights on, I recommend starting with soft candle or fire light. You’ll be amazed how lighting can influence intimacy.”

“Adam & Eve is pleased to help millions of adults find their way to greater sexual fulfillment,” says Adam & Eve director of marketing Chad Davis. “For more than 40 years, we’ve contributed to better lovemaking through education, communication and a wide array of products to make any erotic encounter better.”

The web-based survey, conducted by an independent third party survey company of over 1,000 American adults age 18 and up, was sponsored by Adam & Eve to study sexual preferences and practices.
