AMHERST, MA—Adult industry veteran Bella Vendetta will be showing selected scenes from her directorial debut, The Training of Poe, as part of the 8th annual Five-College Queer Gender and Sexuality Conference held at Hampshire College in western Massachusetts. Bella will be showing three pivotal scenes from the film and talking at length about how the film came to be, explaining the basics of communication and consent culture, harm reduction in BDSM play and the politics behind the film. The audience will be able to ask questions and make comment and Bella will also have the film for sale on a sliding scale basis for students.
“I can't think of a more perfect place for the film to show in public for the first time, or a more perfect audience for it.” said director/performer Vendetta.
Bella has been involved with the Five-College Queer Conference in years past, teaching cross-contamination/disinfection/harm reduction for kinksters, a subject near and dear to her heart.
“The next few weeks are really busy for me,” she noted. “I am also teaching my harm reduction class at the conference, and then teaching it the week after that for the Western Massachusetts Power Exchange. The Five-College Conference is really a special event, though, and it's also free, so I encourage folks from the western Mass area to check out all it has to offer.”
The showing of excerpts from The Training of Poe will take place on Friday, March 3, 3:20 PM to 5:20 PM, at 893 West St., Amherst, MA.
