GenderX, the three-plus-year-old trans brand from Zero Tolerance Entertainment, in collaboration with Gamma Entertainment, is celebrating this year's International Transgender Day of Visibility by reinforcing its stance on “trans inclusivity” and examining how trans performers are portrayed in the adult industry.
International Transgender Day of Visibility is an annual event dedicated to celebrating transgender people and raising awareness of discrimination faced by trans people worldwide.
GenderX’s goal is to promote trans rights by setting an example and taking a public position on ethical leadership within the adult industry and aligning all business activities with these values.
“When we launched GenderX, it was important that we respected the trans community by ensuring that we only used positive terms in reference to our performers and in naming our movies,” said Gregg Alan, CEO of Zero Tolerance Entertainment. “I’m happy to see the change in the industry toward trans performers and I hope to see more companies take the initiative that Gamma has done to remove outdated and derogatory language from the content catalogs.”
Considering the antipathy expressed by several federal officials regarding the very concept of transgenderism, this is a vastly important time for trans rights and inclusion. Providing safe spaces for dialogue, exploration, and learning is critical, and GenderX looks forward to continuing to evolve alongside its community.
