ATLANTA—Grooby brand ambassador Domino Presley was recently featured in photographer Vanessa Munsch’s “Happily Ever After” project as Belle from Beauty and the Beast.
“Beauty and The Beast was one of my favorite movies when I was a child,” said Presley. “Belle always blazed her own path and didn’t let other people’s opinions stop her from reading fairy tales, going down the dark path to save her father, or taming the beast whom she falls in love with. I, too, chose a different path and even though people have their opinions about me transitioning and my profession. Like Belle, I too had enough courage and imagination to follow my dreams and to envision a world where, I—and those who will walk in my footsteps—can live without being judged on our appearance, ethnicity, sexual orientation, sexual preference, or for whatever else might make us different, but by our contributions to making the world a better place.”
Photographer Vanessa Munsch created “Happily Ever After” to highlight the voices of trans individuals, featuring them styled as famous fairy tale characters. The project can be viewed at VanessaMunsch.com/happily-ever-after.html.
“I really love that Preston Lee took part in this project as Prince Charming,” Presley said. “He is a former marine and has a heart of gold. It's nice to see a trans guy featured alongside with trans women. Too often we focus so much on one and forget about the other.”
Presley is also the Mistress of Ceremonies for the upcoming 2020 Transgender Erotica Awards. She also serves as Grooby’s first brand ambassador. Follow her on Twitter at @DominoPresley.
