Terpon Becomes ASACP Corporate Sponsor

LOS ANGELES—The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is delighted to announce that Terpon has become its newest Corporate Sponsor.

Co-founder Valerie Artonne says Terpon is proud to join the list of companies supporting ASACP.

“As the mother of a 5-year-old child, I am very conscious about all nature of abusive behavior and as a tech-entrepreneur in the multibillion-dollar sexual-wellness industry, I feel accountable for finding new ways to actively keep children protected from explicit content,” Artonne explains. “[These are among] the main reasons we humbly contribute to this great organization which is efficiently acting according to our values.”

Additionally, she revealed that Terpon is currently working on technical solutions that will dynamically enhance child protection and is currently investing in advanced technology solutions for improving parenting control processes where broadcasters will be using their products.

“Terpon is not an adult entertainment company as we are not producing, broadcasting, or hosting adult content. Terpon is purely a tech company that produces electronic devices and software solutions for the live cam industry that reaches an audience of hundreds of millions of people who have an interest in sexuality,” Artonne reveals. “Many of them may be future users of our haptic toys and VR solutions to enhance their intimate sex life.”

Artonne says taboos are waning in sexuality, and sexual wellness is becoming mainstream as a matter of physical and psychological health as its just one of the numerous aspects of what defines us as humans.

“At Terpon, we aim to contribute to humankind and we feel a great responsibility for interacting with our customer’s life on such a serious subject. That’s why we have defined a clear ethical policy and we are only working in collaboration with companies that respect the laws and the people they protect,” Artonne concludes. “We believe that ASACP is leading the way in consumer screening and child protection and will provide us with valuable advice and why we’re proud to contribute to their mission.”

ASACP’s Executive Director Tim Henning welcomes Terpon to the association’s family of industry-leading sponsors that freely demonstrate their corporate responsibility and desire to self-regulate in the interest of keeping society’s most innocent internet users safe.

“ASACP is pleased that Terpon has stepped up and taken a leadership role in the fight to protect children from age-inappropriate materials,” Henning said. “The company’s support is leveraged by the fact that it works with many networks, performers and studios, providing a touchpoint directly into some of adult’s most vulnerable communities, where the need to keep children out of and away from adult-oriented entertainment is vital.”

Henning says ASACP’s sponsors not only do their part to protect children but through their support of the association, enable services such as the award-winning Restricted To Adults (RTA) meta label that filters out age-restricted materials, plus market-specific Best Practices and universal Code of Ethics that promotes child-safe operation. Additionally, the non-profit association’s 22-year-long record of success is highlighted by its globally recognized Child Exploitation Tipline, which has processed more than one million CP reports to-date — illustrating the value of the association and the effective use it makes of the support it receives from its sponsors, members, and contributors.

“ASACP’s sponsors represent the industry’s finest companies, combining family-friendly business practices with an ‘adults only’ approach that is the hallmark of responsible operation,” Henning adds. “By taking a stand among other industry leaders, Terpon is providing an example worth following.”
