CYBERSPACE — Sex Tech Connect is excited to host its second Special Guest in the first season of its signature event series, “Virtual Brunch, Happy Hour, or a Late Night Drink” on May 31. Fresh off the heels of an event with inaugural Special Guest Buck Angel last Sunday, the community will now feature one of the biggest names in pleasure products, Lora Haddock DiCarlo.
DiCarlo is the founder and CEO of the sex tech company behind the brand, Lora DiCarlo. The company quickly rose to success and international attention after receiving a coveted robotics innovation award from the Consumer Technology Association for its first product, the Osé device. When the award was rescinded, a critical public conversation about gender equity in tech was initiated and the company has continued to champion the cause of women's sexual health.
Sex Tech Connect is a rapidly growing community of people in sex tech, porn, and adult retail, as well as the sexuality research, journalism, and arts industries. The group meets Sundays at 1pm ET for 90 minutes on a virtual global platform.
“I am so stoked to be a guest on Sex Tech Connect! There is so much for us to cover and I can’t wait to share some insider information on how we’re navigating this pandemic with such fire, and hopefully a little grace,” says DiCarlo.
“We are equally as thrilled to host Lora. She has so many absolutely amazing experiences to draw from,” says Sex Tech Connect founder, Maxine Lynn. During the event, attendees will be able to speak directly with Lora, as well as chat with the other attendees, who are all peers in the sex tech industry.
Sex Tech Connect is a place where industry members can make friends, business contacts, and support one another as the world pushes out of the COVID19 crisis.
“More than ever we need support and collaboration within this community during these uncertain times, and what better person to host such an event than a badass like Maxin” asks DiCarlo.
“I believe that the effect of this community will extend far into the future, strengthening the bonds of people in the industry, seeding new partnerships, and providing the insights of thought leaders for all to use in their own way,” says Lynn.
