AMSTERDAM, NL—Livechat network Secretfriends.com has announced that it is organizing a fundraiser in order to raise money for the victims of hurricane Irma. The fund will be online starting today, September 15.
Secretfriends.com members often use paid icons, called "stickers," in the chats, and for the relief effort, the site has added a new, custom sticker. Every time a member clicks on it, Secretfriends donates 100% of their share to charity.
"This Friday, a big special charity event takes place in Holland and we figured we had to do something as well," said Roald Riepen, CEO of IMC, the company behind Secretfriends. "There are many people in need right now and this is the least we can do. We hope that the amount we raise will help provide relief to those affected."
Secretfriends.com is a cam site which IMC acquired in 2016 and is now part of the company's own cam platform.
