ASACP Honors Featured Sponsors for July 2017

LOS ANGELES—The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) announced it is honoring its Featured Sponsors for the month of July 2017.

ASACP proudly spotlights a monthly collection of companies for their dedicated commitment to corporate responsibility, demonstrated by efforts to keep kids safer online through self-regulation.

ASACP’s Executive Director Tim Henning says the association’s Featured Sponsors are among the adult industry’s most successful companies and take positive steps to protect their business interests by preventing minors’ access to age-restricted materials.

“Recognizing the efforts of ASACP’s Featured Sponsors shows that adult entertainment and online child protection can go hand-in-hand,” Henning explains. “ASACP provides resources that companies need for enabling effective child protection on their sites — and offers these tools for free, thanks to the generosity of its sponsors, which have enabled the non-profit association’s 20-plus-year record of achievement and success.”

For example, ASACP’s internationally recognized Child Exploitation Tipline has processed more than one million CP reports since its inception, while its award-winning Restricted To Adults (RTA) meta labeling prevents children’s access to adult-oriented web pages and mobile apps. The association’s Best Practices that are tailored to specific market segments, and its universal Code of Ethics, guides digital media firms towards child-safe operation while preserving adults’ freedom of choice, offering an alternative to restrictive regulations.

For May, ASACP honors Southern Charms, IMLive and Cherry Pimps as its latest Featured Sponsors, recognizing their ongoing support of the association and its gratitude for the continuing commitment shown by these companies to make the internet safer for children.

Southern Charms

An ASACP Title Sponsor since 2003, amateur porn studio Southern Charms has more than two decades of experience in providing women over the age of 18 with an opportunity to have their own website. Accessible to adults only, Southern Charms takes pride in being a clean site that features age-verified models with releases on file for each performer.

“You will not find any obscene material [or any underage models] at all on Southern Charms. You will only find clean adult amateur fun,” explains a company rep. “Please rest assured that if someone communicates to us that they are interested in underage pictures of models, we will report it to the appropriate authorities immediately.”

In addition to its support of ASACP, Southern Charms backs up its business philosophy by making use of RTA labeling and a clean warning page, as well as by securing explicit content within its premium members’ area.

IMLive

Celebrating a decade of ASACP Corporate Sponsorship in 2017, ImLive is a premium provider of live interactive webcam services that unite a large global base of individual performers and studios with customers from around the world.

This puts the company straight at the forefront of ASACP’s mission to keep children out of and away from adult entertainment, which it does by requiring chat hosts to provide photo identification for age verification, and by limiting explicit displays to paid private shows, where only adults are allowed.

Beyond these measures and its support of ASACP, ImLive showcases its strong commitment to online child safety by making use of RTA labeling, and by offering a “warning page” overlay.

Cherry Pimps

Supporting the association as a Corporate Sponsor since 2013, Cherry Pimps helps to protect children and others from inadvertent exposure to age-restricted materials by locking its fare behind a pay wall — requiring viewers to purchase the company’s adult content, including its live webcam sex shows — rather than offering it free for all.

“We’re happy to continue our support of the ASACP as they work to help protect children online,” Cherry Pimps CEO Jack Avalanche explains. “Their work is invaluable and we must remember that their work is often thankless, but extremely necessary to keep child predators out of the online environment.”

“We thank the entire team at ASACP and look forward to many more years of cooperation,” he added. “I encourage all those who are not sponsors, to step up to the plate and participate, and give back to your community.”

“This month’s Featured Sponsors hail from the homemade amateur and live cam community, where non-professional performers may be less educated about the need and practices of child protection,” Henning adds. “Companies such as Southern Charms, IMLive and Cherry Pimps that serve this market take their responsibilities seriously, earning our recognition and respect.”
