LOS ANGELES—The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is happy to announce its new Featured Sponsors of the Month for September, 2013, recognizing those supporters that help the association take on its never-ending task.
According to ASACP Executive Director Tim Henning, September marks “Back to School” season, when many students are given their first computer, which is often required for their schoolwork and homework — chores that may take place beyond the gaze of parents, school administrators, librarians and other stakeholders in youth development.
“Schools foster curiosity on the part of students,” Henning stated. “Unfortunately, this level of curious exploration won’t end when a child’s supervised Internet use ceases, it begins there.”
By following proactive initiatives such as adhering to the ASACP Code of Ethics and market-specific Best Practices, online organizations offering age-restricted wares make a difference in the global campaign to maintain the innocence of youth.
“ASACP’s Sponsor Recognition Program is designed to recognize the achievements of those companies that have demonstrated a desire to protect themselves by protecting at-risk kids,” Henning added. “By doing the right thing, these business owners are setting an example that is worthy of being followed by all companies operating in the online and mobile arenas.”
For September, ASACP wishes to honor three of its veteran Corporate Sponsors: Fleshlight, The Lion’s Den and Hot Movies.
Hot Movies
A stalwart Sponsor of ASACP since 2004, HotMovies.com offers a vastly growing library of educational and entertaining movies, with daily new releases in a non-membership format that imposes no monthly fees, allowing viewers to watch any of its movies at any time, anywhere.
Hot Movies is joined by a range of sister sites, including alternative market FetishMovies.com and the gay oriented GayHotMovies.com; along with female targeted HotMoviesForHer.com; all unified under the MovieDollars.com affiliate marketing program.
The company uses an innovative video on demand system that ties content access to a desired period of time, enabling customers to choose a time package that allows them watch all or parts of movies — selecting titles from more than 175,000 movies provided by more than 2,300 studios.
This tech-forward business approach extends into the company’s use of the ASACP-provided Restricted To Adults (RTA) website meta label, as a means of preventing access to their sites by underage users; working in conjunction with the efforts of concerned parents, institutions and other parties.
The Lion’s Den
Another long-term ASACP sponsor, The Lion’s Den Adult Superstore (lionsden.com), is a company that is dedicated to providing the very best in adult merchandise, including a range of adult toys, magazines and DVDs, lingerie, massage oils and gifts for both bachelor and bachelorette parties.
The Lion’s Den opened its first retail facility in Columbus, Ohio, in 1971 and has since then expanded to more than 40 locations throughout the country, each of which maintains the very highest standards of customer service and professionalism bolstered by a courteous sales staff.
“The Lion’s Den fully understands that human sexuality is a personal and sensitive matter,” says a company spokesperson. “It is our goal to provide the most secure and safe environment for our customers to explore eroticism without any disconcertion.”
According to the company, it built its reputation on quality products and low prices from the very beginning, treating customers with the dignity and respect that forms loyal relationships — a focus on dignity and respect that it has extended to its support of ASACP since 2006; and its desire to protect children from exposure to products and services intended for adults only.
Fleshlight
Also honored this month is Fleshlight parent Interactive Life Forms, LLC, a company that is on the forefront of innovation in sexual health and fulfillment, and which has been an ASACP Sponsor since 2007.
According to the company, in an era where vibrators have been championed as a means for female sexual freedom and enjoyment, male sex products have remained something of a dirty, unwanted cousin to their female counterparts; but by providing a quality, discreet, and tasteful product, Fleshlight hopes to help change these perceptions to bring the topic of male sexuality into the light of legitimacy and reason.
“With AIDS, violence, and unwanted pregnancy at epidemic levels, there is reason to be cautious,” states a company spokesperson. “The Fleshlight sex toy will provide an outlet to express your fantasies and impulses in a safe, but highly pleasurable environment!”
It is this “safe, but highly pleasurable environment” that ASACP is working on bringing to the Internet, with the support of Sponsors such as Fleshlight, The Lion’s Den and Hot Movies.
From video on demand services to adult pleasure products, this month’s Featured Sponsors show the diversity of industry support for ASACP and its mission of keeping children out of and away from adult entertainment, while highlighting the commitment to business leadership and self-regulated stewardship that typifies today’s market leading adult oriented companies.
