Bob Raley LCA Honorific Award Given to Alex Lecomte

LISBON, Portugal—During the sixth annual Live Cam Awards last week, 7Veils Managing Director Alex Lecomte was given the Bob Raley Honorific Award 2020.

Robert Raley, industry veteran and an absolute reference in the webcam industry, passed away on February the 4th of 2016. He was the managing director of the Colombia-based live cams operation M Group S.A. Raley was an iconic businessman due to his successful management and consulting services but also thanks to his great human qualities.

“Bob was the spirit of the party but he was also a very successful Live Cam business person. The whole industry has lost a great man and this is why I have decided to create this award, to honor his memory. This category is to highlight this mix of friendship and professionalism that Bob was representing, the fact that someone contributes to this industry in so many ways but above everything by her/his personal dedication and friendship. Alex and the previous winners were obvious choices, they all represent great allies,” said Alexandra Georgia, event organizer, fetish cam model and studio owner.

The event took place in the Estoril Casino near Lisbon in Portugal. More than 300 people were gathered to celebrate the best professionals of the Live Cam industry. The Live Cam Award is an original event that has been created in 2015 by Alexandra Georgia, a successful Fetish Cam model and studio owner.

It was the first one dedicated to International Camming businesses.

The 2020 edition was presented by Kiiroo and sponsored by Chaturbate, LiveJasmin, BongaCams, StripChat, Imlive, Models4Models, Best Studios, Flirt4Free, Studio20, Bucharest Summit, Gloria Agency, Angels Studio, Feet4Cash, ImLive, Glam Chat Studio, Live Cams Mansion and XloveCam.

During the ceremony, Charm Group won the best Live Cam Marketing Strategy, Studio20 the best Live Cam studio, LittleRedBunny the Live Cam Celebrity of the year, MistressNylons the best Model content creator and LiveJasmin the best Live Cam company of the year (full list of winners available on Live Camawards.com/lca-2020-winners/).

The event was hosted by the famous award-winning, cam performers couple Emma and Eddie Lovett.

“Bob was a good friend of mine. I still feel his loss as a friend and from the industry. This award is an incredible way to remember and honor him,” said Lauren MacEwen, 7 Veils CEO and founder.

It is as a tribute to Bob Raley that Georgia decided to create in 2016 the Bob Raley award to award key people or companies from the industry. In memory of this great man who always had a nice word and great business advice or life tips for each one who took the time to sit with him and enjoy real-life quality time.

“I was shocked to be called on stage and speechless to receive such a great honor. I probably looked a bit stupid during my thank you speech, I didn’t realize what was going on” said Alex Lecomte. “I was fascinated by Bob and is always missed during the shows. When I started in this industry, the gatherings were impressive, so many people, so many things to do and learn at the same time it was a pleasant and intense chaos but Bob taught me to slow down and analyze things, to prioritize the tasks and take a break to build real human connections with my industry peers. I will never forget those precious times we shared just talking about our offline lives and global perspectives. I am grateful for his advice and friendship and therefore, truly honored by this award”.

Previous industry members who have won the prestigious award were Flirt4Free, ImLive and Jo Merlone (Kiwi).
