HOUSTON—Industry veteran Jerry Halford has been appointed director for YNOTEurope.com, which emerged from extensive beta testing Sept. 10.
Halford, who lives in Budapest, was born and schooled in Oxford, England. For 17 years, he managed radio stations and groups of stations across Europe before founding a successful consultancy and motor sports team in Hungary eight years ago. Most recently he served for three years as the chief executive officer for adult industry trade journal AVN Europe.
“The European laid-back business style suited me after the rat race of London,” Halford said. "I can’t wait to get to see all the people in the adult industry I have met over the last four years again and bring with me an exciting new product, YNOTEurope.com.
YNOTEurope.com, a sister site to popular webmaster news and education site YNOT.com, began its beta period in June. The site offers news, opinion, product reviews and educational articles as well as a thriving forum. Content is added daily, and additional social networking components are under development.
The site is available in six languages: English, Italian, French, Spanish, Dutch and German.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity to be heading this team and producing a must-read news and information website for the whole industry,” Halford said. “The need for a top industry website supplying current news and information is critical for the success of the people who work in this industry across Europe. The possibility to read the most current information in your own language will make YNOTEurope.com the No. 1 resource.”
Connor Young, president of multinational parent company YNOT Group LLC, said Halford’s experience, reputation and business acumen will help YNOTEurope.com address the needs of the European adult entertainment community in a way no other resource has attempted.
“We are very thrilled to have someone with Jerry’s experience heading up YNOT’s expansion into Europe,” he said. “We were very impressed with his professionalism and his intimate knowledge of the European markets, and we are confident we got the right man for the job. Jerry’s addition to the YNOT team is a further signal of our commitment to our vision of YNOT as a true international media and information company.”
Halford will attend The Barcelona Summit Sept. 20-24. Contact him via email at [email protected], via phone at +44 2033000634 or on Skype at jerry.ynoteurope.
