YNOT Grand Prix Season 6 Begins in Barcelona

BARCELONA—The opening race in the YNOT Grand Prix's sixth season will take place in Sitges, Spain, on March 7. Presented by JuicyAds, the Sitges race is an official event during The European Summit's winter trade show.

What started as a one-off promotion six years ago has grown into a full-fledged, eagerly anticipated annual event. Thirty racers competed in the inaugural race; 80 will compete in March. At stake: bragging rights and trophies. Of course, winners also become targets for cutthroat competition during subsequent battles for the top of the season's heap.

The professionally designed track at Scratch Indoor Karting Penedès is among the most challenging drivers will face. Located 30 minutes from the TES headquarters hotel, the 680-meter course offers a thrilling ride with many tight turns, fast straightaways, tunnels and ramps.

"We typically get more than 100 people at this stop on the circuit," said YNOT Group's vice president, LAJ. "This year will be no different. I'm still accepting drivers for the list, which all told will contain 20 alternates who can become drivers if any competitors lose their nerve at the last minute."

"There's a new look to the event banners and T-shirts this year, and I think many people will like the surprises we have in store at the track," he continued. "As always, food and beverages are included."

Three hours of heart-pounding action begin at 6 p.m. Complimentary transportation will leave the hotel at 5:30 p.m. and 5:45 p.m., then return racers and fans at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m.

The YNOT Grand Prix always has been a free event, thanks to the generosity of sponsors. In addition to JuicyAds, the international roster of opening-race sponsors includes DatingFactory, BaDoinkCash, WellHello!, Dyn, FNCash and iCAN4Consumers.

Three additional races at The Phoenix Forum, Qwebec Expo and The European Summit Prague will round out the sixth season.
