Twitter.com/Porn Registered User Declines 6 Figure Offer

CYBERSPACE—Recently, BangYouLater.com, the holder of the Twitter page, “Twitter.com/porn,” was contacted by the representative of a large adult industry business and offered an undisclosed lump sum in the 6-figure range for control of the page. BangYouLater.com rejected this offer and has rejected numerous other offers for this valuable Twitter page.

Being the holder of a single word extension like “porn” on a huge social media platform like Twitter can have great advantages for companies that know how to use it in their marketing campaign.

BangYouLater.com legal representative Corey Silverstein has not been surprised by the substantial interest in the Twitter page.

“When you are dealing with the combination of one the most popular social networking tools in the world and the most recognizable term used for adult entertainment," he said, "it is a virtual certainty that there will be no shortage of interest.”

Jo Merlone, of KiwiSourcing, also confirmed that the quantity of popular adult film stars attracted to the Twitter page has contributed to the substantial interest from various adult businesses.

“I was not surprised by the 6 figure offer that my client received," she said, "but we expect to continue seeing these sort of offers as the Twitter page has clearly created quite a buzz.”

Given the popularity and usage of Twitter pages, it is not surprising that Twitter pages are being traded amongst private parties on a daily basis. The downside to controlling a popular and valuable internet asset is that the controlling party is more likely to encounter hostile activities and hacking attempts.

“Unfortunately, the BangYouLater.com team has recently had to expend substantial costs in order to protect and fight off hacking attempts of the Twitter page.” said Silverstein. "My client is prepared to utilize all of its available resources to track down those responsible for these unlawful activities and if necessary, and will utilize the various legal tools at its disposal.”
