NEW YORK—Joy-Toilet Collectives, which is currently developing a game called Triple X Tycoon, is looking to adult crowdfunding platform OffBeatr as an alternate source of pre-release funding.
According to lead developer Christon "Doop" LeJohn, "Triple X Tycoon's release date was recently pushed back for the sole purpose of fleshing out it's gameplay further and optimizing the game's technology for future ports to mobile. At face value we just can't slap a bow on what we see as a game in alpha before the end of 2014."
At the moment, Triple X Tycoon is undergoing a voting phase where the game must be approved by the community as an idea before the developers can collect any money from the public.
LeJohn added, "We knew it would be an uphill battle from the beginning. We've spoken to some pretty big names in both the video game and adult industry and everyone wants to see this thing come out. But in some cases it quickly became a matter of how sanitized could we make it first. And we don't want to gloss over anything."
Per a description on the Joy-Toilet website, Triple X Tycoon is a simulation game in which the player founds and builds a studio within the adult entertainment industry from the ground up. With Triple X Tycoon, players will get to experience the highs and lows of the adult entertainment industry from behind the scenes. The game features random events that may affect the growth of your studio or hinder performers. Volatile consumer trends are the norm. Extravagant award shows are commonplace; even performers come and go as time pushes on in an industry that makes big money on erotic indulgence.
