TLA Wants Customer Stories for Give-It-Away Contest

PHILADELPHIA — TLARaw.com and TLAVideo have launched their own version of a stimulus, or at least stimulating package, with its new "TLA Gives It Away" contest.

The company is offering customers a $1,000 grand prize for the funniest, most bizarre and eye-opening stories about the economy.

Give TLA your tales of  giving up your night out, driving your car another thousand miles, even learning phone sex tricks just in case. Spin TLA a story that tickles its funny bone, draws a sympathetic sigh or disgusts even the company's esoteric and liberal tastes.

"Our customers have been good to us. It's time we gave back to our cinephiles and pornfreaks, and now is the perfect time," said TLA Entertainment Group CFO Claire Brown-Kohler. "We've been writing for our customers all these years. It's their time to speak out!"

Simply submit a paragraph detailing how you would spend the money. TLA Gives It Away wants 300 words or less that will make the company empathize with you, love you or want to marry you. Each paragraph must be creative and 100 percent original. "Don't make anything up; we have ways of knowing," reads the contest rules.

Each contestant may only submit one entry and the deadline is April 9. After that, eight members of TLA's Marketing and Emergency Economic Stimulus Department will select 12 winners, choosing those stories that really spoke to them, and the $1,000 Grand Prize winner will be announced April 15. Yes, on tax day. Other prizes include $500 for First Place, and TLA gift cards for other winners. TLA doesn't care whether you save the money, share it with friends or blow it all like the financial "experts" everyone keeps reading about.

Contestants must be over the age of 18. To submit your story and see the official rules, visit: TLARaw.com/Giveaway or TLAVideo.com/Giveaway. Printed submissions can be sent to: TLA Gives It Away Contest, TLA Entertainment Group, Inc., 234 Market St. - 4th Floor, Philadelphia PA, 19106.
