Sssh.com Nabs Sex Awards Noms for Favorite Website, Hottest Sex Scene

BOSTON—Sssh.com has received nominations for Favorite Adult Website and Hottest Sex Scene from The Sex Awards, a new adult entertainment awards show produced by AVN Media Network and the X3Sixty Network. Scheduled for October 10, the consumer-voted show is slated to be broadcast nationally in January, 2014. All aspects of the adult industry are represented in The Sex Awards' categories, including talent, studios, pleasure products, websites, content production and distribution companies.

"It's an honor to be nominated for the debut edition of The Sex Awards," said Angie Rowntree, founder of Sssh.com. "It's a strong indication that the hard work we've put into Sssh.com and its content is resonating with consumers who are hungry for quality erotica produced and directed by women, for women."

Launched in 2000, Sssh.com has garnered praise in both the adult and mainstream media for its sex-positive, female-friendly content. The site has been featured by TIME, ABC's Nightline, London Sunday Times, Elle, the BBC and Le Figaro, among others.

The Hottest Sex Scene nomination comes for a vignette from Ellington: An Erotic Fairy Tale, which Rowntree describes as a "sexy, modern take on a traditional, Cinderella-style tale." The scene stars Jeanie Marie and Ryan Driller, playing the roles of Cindy Ellington—the story's Cinderella figure, who has been relegated by her evil stepmother to the role of night janitor at her deceased father's company—and Joe Prince, a benevolent former college classmate who just might swoop in to save Cindy from her sorry fate.

"Jeanie and Ryan do such an amazing job in that scene, really communicating the passion and emotional intensity we were looking for." Rowntree said. "What comes through is that this two real people, having real sex, and truly enjoying themselves. Their chemistry simply jumps out at you, and that's what Sssh.com is all about; making porn that's empowering, sexy and fun."
