SAN FRANCISCO - Fetish site SocialKink.com announced Monday its sponsorship of this year's Bang4theBuck AIDS awareness initiative.
Consisting of two fundraising parties, the goal of Bang4theBuck is to raise money for AIDS awareness and to promote knowledge about HIV/AIDS among participants, their donors, and the general public.
The first fundraiser will take place in Seattle on February 29 and the second in San Francisco on April 25. Proceeds generated will go to support the San Francisco Aids Foundation or the LA Gay and Lesbian Center.
World-renowned sex educator, author, activist, and contributing writer to SocialKink.com, Midori, helped to organize the initiative. "These parties hosted by Midori, who shares our mission of sex education and awareness, are fun opportunities to give to the community and help make a real difference," said SocialKink.com's webmistress Nikki Nefarious. "It's only natural that we team up with Midori for this important cause. This disease affects so many in our community and beyond and we need to band together to offer support where we can."
Midori is known for her humanistic, humorous and warm classes that help people to spice up their sex lives and encourage self-discovery and personal growth. She travels the world presenting to universities, education events, organizations and media and she is also the author of The Seductive Art of Japanese Bondage, Master Han's Daughter and Wild Side Sex: The Book of Kink.
The initiative will culminate June 1-7 with the AIDS/LifeCycle event, a 545 mile bike trek from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Co-produced by the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center, AIDS/LifeCycle is designed to advance their shared interests to end the pandemic and human suffering caused by AIDS. SocialKink.com will be making a contribution to that event.
