SegPay Unveils New Point of Sale System to Fuel Merchant Revenue

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla.—SegPay, a global leader in online payment processing, announced today the launch of its new Point of Sale (POS) system. The enhancements contain several key features including improved payment pages, enhanced postbacks and conversion rate optimization for online merchants.

“Having fully optimized payment pages are key to acquiring and converting consumers through the entire transaction process,” said Cathy Beardsley, President and CEO of SegPay. “That’s why SegPay is now offering fully responsive and customizable payment pages. No matter what device a consumer is using during the transaction process, SegPay’s enhanced pages can handle all types of traffic.”

Starting June 5, 2015, all SegPay clients will be seamlessly migrated to the new POS system allowing them to experience enhanced system upgrades.  Payment pages will be database-driven, allowing for easier customization.  New fully responsive pages will allow merchants to market to the wide variety of devices used by consumers.  Overall, SegPay’s new payment pages are developed to help merchants with decline and error handling.  Payment pages, receipts and approval/decline pages are professionally translated in all major languages providing a more localized consumer experience.

“We wanted the new POS system to really improve a merchant’s experience especially when dealing with decline and error handling,” said Jeff Rosenzweig, SegPay’s Director of Customer Experience. “This month we are encouraging all of our clients to take advantage of the improvements now, ahead of the migration. We’re excited that our new POS will become the foundation for future system enhancement.”

SegPay’s new POS system will also help eliminate issues encountered at checkout by encouraging consumers to correct bad data or try another credit card, improving conversion rates.

Beta clients have been using the new system since testing began in April. The new POS system allows merchants to take full advantage of new multivariate testing of payment pages, helping to optimize and maximize merchant review.

The system is available to webmasters immediately upon request.  All SegPay clients will be seamlessly migrated to the new POS system on June 5, 2015.
