FT. LAUDERDALE, FL — SegPay internet payment processing service has moved into the mobile application space by partnering with MiKandi, the first app market for adult entertainment.
MiKandi users can now purchase apps with SegPay’s new and simple click feature for digital purchases. This allows consumers to purchase token packages and then apply those tokens towards the download of specific apps in the MiKandi store. Multiple apps can be purchased with a single SegPay checkout.
“Our partnership with MiKandi is SegPay’s first foray into a mobile application store front,” said Cathy Beardsley, president and CEO of SegPay. “There is tremendous potential for developers in the mobile space. By partnering with MiKandi, we position SegPay and our customers to benefit from new revenue streams.”
“Working with SegPay has been fantastic,” said Jesse Adams, CEO of MiKandi. “They’re responsive and they make it easier for our customers to pay for the apps and videos they want. We’re already seeing benefits from working with them.”
More than 100 million people in the United States use smart phones, according to the most recent comScore MobiLens report. The number of smart phone users has risen consistently over the past few years, as standard mobile phone users trade in their phones for devices with higher functionality. This provides web developers with new opportunities for growth. The SegPay — MiKandi partnership opens up these new venues to SegPay’s existing customers.
MiKandi (pronounced “my candy”) is the leading mobile adult application marketplace worldwide. The company provides a way to market, monetize and deliver adult apps to users that developers wouldn’t have access to with traditional channels. There are currently over two million adult consumers on MiKandi. The company’s open view on censorship has resonated with thousands of app developers and continues to gain support from the Android user community.
