Pornotube Celebrates Anniversary with New Look, Attitude

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Pornotube.com , the popular adult "tube" site, is celebrating its second anniversary and is doing it with a new look - and a new attitude.

The changes debuted earlier this month, a redesign of the site's front page geared toward enhancing visitors' overall experience on the site. Along with aesthetic changes, Pornotube now boasts bigger thumbnails, better backend functionality, and easier navigation thanks to a re-arrangement of the top navigation bar. Given that the site experienced an immediate spike in membership - daily member sign-ups tripled - the redesign was even more successful than the team had hoped.

"At first, I thought it was a mistake," laughs Suzann Knudsen, site administrator for Pornotube. "But I double-checked, and it was true - the site was getting three times the new users in one day. It was amazing."

Pornotube has seen its share of milestones in its two years online. Soon after it launched in the summer of 2006, the site garnered international mainstream attention, including coverage by mainstream tech sites, and a mention on VH1's Best Week Ever Blog. Pornotube quickly became one of the fastest growing adult sites on the Internet, and was hailed for its innovation in the adult sphere.

Since then, Pornotube has seen a number of competitors join it in the arena of adult-rated "tube" sites, but it is very comfortable with its place in the industry and on the web. The site has formed many successful partnerships within the adult industry, such as its channel partnerships with flagship names like Teravision, Hustler, Titan Media and Smash Pictures. It recently added the internationally acclaimed Private Media to that list.

"When Pornotube launched two years ago, it not only established the "tube" site model for the adult industry, it excelled at it," says Knudsen. "The Pornotube system created a way for everyone in the industry to profit, from stars to studios to affiliate programs. Pornotube supplied the adult industry with a new way to expose content to consumers that sits on the cutting edge of what the Internet revolution means."
