CANOGA PARK, Calif.—Lexington Steele’s Mercenary Pictures launched its online video-on-demand theater at VOD.MercenaryPicturesVideo.com.
With over 100 scenes from its award winning titles including Lex Steele XXX, SuperWhores, Black Reign, Pole Position: Lex POV, IronHead, Fresh Out the Box, Silverback Attack, Ebony XXX and Top Guns, Mercenary Pictures' VOD theater will also feature new, never before seen footage.
New scenes from Mercenary's movies will be added to the site on a regular basis.
Streaming video will be available to the site's monthly subscribers and downloadable scenes encoded in iPhone, iPad and iTunes-friendly formats will also be available for sale.
Steele, owner of Mercenary Pictures, said the site was built in-house by the company's web development division. It also built and maintains the company's B2B site, MercenaryB2B.com, as well as the rest of its consumer site, MercenaryPicturesVideo.com.
All the VOD theater's content, including full still galleries of the scenes, will be available with premium memberships. Members with standard memberships will have limited access to the site's scenes. Pay to download and pay-per-minute options are also available.
"Our goal, of course, is to make all our content available online," Steele said. "There is no denying that we are no longer just a video production company, but a content producer and online distributor as well. Like all companies, we need to move where the market moves. But let me make it clear—we are not abandoning DVD at this time."
