Free Speech Coalition Now on Facebook

CANOGA PARK, Calif. - The Free Speech Coalition has launched a new Facebook group and profile page exclusively for professional-level FSC members.

The online social-networking platform will allow members to interact, post comments, discuss topics, and view the latest FSC news, photos and video.

"Following the example of President Obama, who is the first president to successfully use the Internet for grassroots organization and mobilization, FSC has decided to update its accessibility to members by using the unique features of Facebook's networking platform," said FSC membership director Joanne Cachapero.

"There is already a large adult industry community that is using Facebook to connect online," she said. "This FSC members-only profile page and group gives users the ability to connect, network, participate in discussions and give us feedback. The more we hear from our members, the more we are able to address their needs by providing services and resources."

The new profile page, which features the organization's new logo, can be found by FSC members currently registered on Facebook by using the "find friends" function and searching the name "Free Speech."

Members may find the FSC group page by going to Facebook Groups and searching "Free Speech Coalition," then requesting to be added to the group.

FSC members not registered with the site can sign up for free at Facebook.com.

All friend and group member requests will be reviewed by FSC staff, in order to ensure that participants are current FSC members.

"For professionals in the adult industry, half your life is spent at a computer or texting on your handheld," Cachapero said. "So, if the FSC can use social networking to establish better communication, we want to take advantage of that technology to keep in touch with our members."
