CYBERSPACE—#SexTalkTuesday announced today that author and attorney Fred Lane will serve as special guest moderator of the Sept. 9 edition of the Twitter-based chat show, bringing with him a wealth of expertise on child safety, privacy, and the impact of emerging technologies on society.
The chat will run 3-4 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday.
“We’re delighted to have Fred heading up this week’s #SexTalkTuesday conversation,” said Angie Rowntree, owner of Sssh.com and organizer of #SexTalkTuesday. “Fred’s immense knowledge and easygoing manner make him the ideal person to lead a discussion about some of the controversial issues surrounding how easy it is to access adult content online.”
Lane is the author of seven books, including most recently Cybertraps for the Young and American Privacy: The 400-Year History of Our Most Contested Right. Lane frequently lectures at colleges, universities and school districts around the country, covering subjects ranging from student safety to electronic misbehavior and digital privacy.
“I’m delighted to be hosting #Sextalktuesday on Tuesday,” Lane said. “We’ll be discussing the issue of underage access to adult materials online, and exploring possible solutions—or whether it’s a problem in the first place. We’ll examine the question: When it comes to watching porn, how young is too young?”
The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection agrees that this is an important topic to discuss and will be sponsoring Lane's #SexTalkTuesday, as well as participating in the show.
A fun and provocative Twitter-based chat held every Tuesday of each month, #SexTalkTuesday is hosted and coordinated by Sssh.com, the web’s premier destination for porn made by and for women.
Each session, a guest moderator asks thought-provoking questions to a large and active group of participants, who send hundreds of tweets during each round of #SexTalkTuesday. The result is a lively and entertaining discussion that invites participants to be open and candid with their thoughts and opinions on sex, life, love and the humor of it all, in a way that fosters a supportive and compassionate environment for the conversation.
To participate in Sex Talk Tuesday, go to Twitter.com and use the #SexTalkTuesday hash tag during the hour-long show, which this week runs 3-4 p.m. EST.
