Flirt4Free Team Wrecks ALS #IceBucketChallenge

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif.—Industry vet Greg Clayman and his team at Flirt4Free took the #IceBucketChallenge plunge together. To keep this campaign going in the industry, the Flirt4Free team also nominated three other companies to also take on the challenge as a team: Affil4You, Exoclick, and Crak Media.

“With all the exciting things we have coming up in the next few months, it’s easy to focus too much on work,” said Jeff Wilson, manager of the Flirt4Free affiliate department. “It was nice to put business aside for an afternoon and participated in this world-wide charity phenomenon.” 

Although fun, it also helped raise money and awareness for research to fight ALS, otherwise known as Lou Gehrig ’s disease. In the past month, 1.1 million new donors have donated more than $53 million to help fund research for ALS. If you search for ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, you can find more than 600,000 videos with tens of millions of views. Some of the biggest celebrities and tech giants have accepted this challenge, dumped ice water on their heads and donated money. Some say this is changing the way nonprofits will raise money in the future.
