LOS ANGELES—The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has announced a unique fundraiser being staged by FUBAR Webmasters and The European Summit (TES), known as the “International Food Challenge.”Europe’s leading B2B conference for online entertainment industries, The European Summit is set for March 5-8 at the Hotel Calipolis in Barcelona, Spain. This executive gathering unites representatives from the affiliate, billing, casual dating, domain name, mobile technology, website services and traffic arenas, in comfortable setting with a European flair.
For more than a decade FUBAR Webmasters has chronicled adult entertainment industry parties, conferences and conventions with pictures and news of interest for those who did not attend, as well as for those who did. FUBAR shows “the babes, the craziness and players,” which make up the business of bawdiness.
Now, for the first time ever, FUBAR Webmasters’ charismatic owner, Julius F. Kedvessy (JFK), will take on Walter and Andreas from TES in a U.S. vs. European Steak vs. Steak Edition of the International Food Challenge, slated for March 8 at 2 p.m.
According to its promoters, the goal of the International Food Challenge is to create a special directory of restaurants around the world — in all cities on the adult show circuit — including Amsterdam, Barcelona, LA, Las Vegas, London, Majorca, Miami, New Orleans and Prague, among others — and to have fun and support a worthy cause while doing so.
While the final rules will be established at the first luncheon, the gist of the program is to invite a friend for lunch, which you pay for. He or she then has to invite you back at one of the next shows (i.e. Phoenix or New Orleans), where he or she pays.
Both then deliberate which restaurant was better, with the loser donating $25 to ASACP — and if a winner cannot be established, then both parties will each donate $25 to ASACP.
The event will be promoted with a TRIPADVISOR review via a searchable FUBARTESFC header and also tweeted at #FUBARTESFC.
“We are looking forward to creating a fun and classy food guide, with the help of all of our industry friends,” Walter stated, adding, “and we hope that in good spirits, we can contribute to the noble cause that ASACP represents.”
ASACP Executive Director Tim Henning and Director of European Outreach Vince Charlton will attend The European Summit where they will host a special session on March 6, entitled, “Protecting Your Business in a Changing Regulatory Landscape.”
“The European Summit is a stalwart supporter of ASACP and this fundraiser is the latest way that TES is helping to raise awareness of the association,” Henning stated. “Through unique events such as the International Food Challenge, adult industry operatives will be able to help protect children from being involved in or exposed to age-inappropriate content, and will also be able to answer a common question at the shows: ‘Where’s a good place to go for dinner?’”
